Does anyone have any experience with a Gear Venders overdrive unit? Someone mentioned this might be a better alternative to a 4L80E. It's going in a 22 ft motorhome.

I ran a Gear Vendors unit in an older suburban I had for about 150,000 miles with absolutly no problems...bullit proof units. Hard towing at full throttle included. I highly recommend them. :)

I run a Gear Vender in my 67 Mustang for overdrive behind a C4. Works great. Only problem is the driveshaft vibes I can't get to go away completely.

When you shortened the driveline did you have it rebalanced, u-joints timed correctly, not too steep driveline angle, etc. All those can cause vibration. :)
