I have one, but it's over $5K by a hair. My '94 Chevy one ton crew-cab 4x4 with the 6.5 turbo diesel is going on the block. It's a good truck and will pull anything. I'm looking to get $6500obo out of it. Low book on it was well over $7000. Has new tires, tranny was done 30K ago, new injection pump 30K ago. It has 237K on it, but I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and run across country. Hate to sell it, but I don't need two big trucks. frown

Cole,
I have a 1979 full size Chevy single cab fleetside shortbed that is for sale. I am asking more than $5,000, but would be willing to take that if you have cash. It has
1999 Chevy 350 w/ 30k miles on it
Newly rebulit 700 R4 Trans w/ Overdrive
3:73 gears
New Drivetrain
Auto Meter gages, w custom interior
Chevy bench seat
single flowmaster
10 disc CD changer
Ultra Aluminum wheels
It is very clean inside and out, but does not have AC in it at this time. It has never been in an accident either. I have drivin it to and from Parker without a problem, but have never towed with it. If you are interester let me know and I can give you more details. Good luck

I think froggystyle has a 454 Cheby 3500 dually short cab/long bed war wagon (I think) he was toying with getting rid of. It's got cruise control, A/C (needs recharge) cassete with factory EQ, and power everything as well as tow package and 7pin connector. It would be cool with two comfy captains charis for the long drives. Its not in perfect shape but it runs strong and will tow the shit out of anything you can throw at it. Its pretty money looking if you ask me, primer beige with black running along the bottom, kinda camelflouge. I think its only a 3spd auto though, but that is a simple fix to a 4 spd for those drives(it needs a cd player too). It has the roof light markers and tail gate markers, its cool lookin !! I think he wants like $3500 for it, maybe less....

Wow a big block with a three speed? That should get some great single digit gas mileage... :D
As far as a simple fix to go from a Turbo 400 to a 700R4??? Probably not. They'll bolt up, but the mounts are different, you have to change the length of the drive shaft as the trannys are different sizes and you're still running a 700R4. :D :D :D

I used to hate diesels till I test drove one, they are nice. I'll never buy another gas truck. I love that blue truck and my Duramax is bad ass, without me being partial on the subject. Not to mention the fact that I work for the Allison dealer here in town. Nothing like 18 mpg in a 3/4 ton crew-cab 4x4. :D :D :D
Anyone looking for a deal on some hop-up exhaust for their diesels? Cummins, Powerstroke or Duramax? Gas trucks??? Anyone?? Anyone?? Bueller?? Bueller?? :D :D :D PM me for details. :D

Are you going to "juice" the DMax? Let me know about the exhaust. I have a '03 DMax.

Damn Jordy, that truck looks sweet for a 94. Did you actually do all the upkeep or did you take it to the local detailer every couple of weeks?

I have the Gibson 3in. cat back w/ slash tip on my Expo. I like it because it is pretty quiet. I want to scratch my 4 cats for 2 high flows (or exchangable straight pipes) Allisons are hard core. A friend of mine did auto/diesel tech at U.T.I and said they have some 6 speeds and if you toss them in Reverse when you are going fast in Drive, they freewheel. That is sweet they come in the Chebys, not so sure about the fords, I think they use CAT stuff.

not so sure about the fords, I think they use CAT stuff. The Ford diesels are International and last I heard they were putting their own tranny behind them. Hard to compete with the Allison.
And Deano, I took care of that truck myself. It's in great shape considering the mileage and some of the places it's been. :D :D :D
Haven't posted this in a while: :D

Now if i remember right....the ford was stuck along with the 5th wheel ...so you tied both of them to you and pulled both out?? lmao that would be funny!!!!

Jordy

I thought it was and luckily I had my camera. The dually pulling the 5th wheel was 2wd and the 3/4 ton 4x4 didn't have enough oopmh to get the whole thing moving. Had to get the mighty 6.5 in on the deal. :D :D :D
