My tranny has been acting up in my 89'F-350 (diesel)dually. When it goes into second gear it slams in hard. third is a little easier. I drained the fluid and put in a fresh filter. No change. Anyone have any similar prob's with their ford trucks? Funny , but if I get on it hard it shifts fine. Only shifts hard if I'm cruising easy.

Desert Rat,
Thanks for the referral on the diesel stop web site. I think I found exactly my problem and its solution. It appears to be the throttle position sensor and its voltage setting. I replaced my voltage regulator not too long ago and this may have affected the current settings. Thanks again.
