My unlucky weekend

Well I have to start off by saying I missed the whole OP6 thing again and I definitly am jeolous after hearing about it.
I went to Vegas Friday on a tip that there was a lock bet in college football this weekend. Needless to say I drop 5000 on the for sures bet and thought I had it in the bag. My team had a 28 point lead going into the 4th quarter. Well it turns out the underdog makes a miraculous comeback and blows my whole bet. Damn 5000 gone. Oh well you play you pay.
Anyhow my wife says lets drive to the river and take the boat out. Ok that sounds cool this will help me getover my for sures bet. We take the drive out to Havasu and I call my good freinds HDD, RatedX, and the sandbar junkies to see how the party is. It seems it is going off but unfortunatly I have my little one with me and I dont think it would have been appropriate to show up. Anyhow I sleep it off and wake up for a fun day on the river Sunday.
I pickup my boat sunday morning. Now let me back up for a second. Last weekend my hatch wasnt working properly so I took the pins out to get it lifted and try to figure the problem out. I was kinda lazy and didnt finish the figuring out part. Ok shoot back to Sunday morning. Well when I pickup the boat Sunday I immediatly put the pins in my hatch thinking I have them in correctly. Well DUH I didnt. I get the boat out and were cruising at about 70 and bam there goes my whole hatch scoops and all. I had to turn around and call HDD with his chetah(Good retrieval boat by the way)to come pickup my scoop and hatch whats left of them. I send my wife back with HDD and Xrated so she could pickup the truck and back it in and they could put to torn up hatch in my truck. Well the accomplished it no problem. OPPPPSSS there is one problem. It seems my wife when backing the trailer in hits a pole and jacks up the side of the trailer. Damn another F*ck up.
We take the boat out of the water and eventually head home. Everyone was hungry so we stopped in Parker at Sopranos. Damn what a mistake. Everyone in that place didnt have a clue what they were doing. I wont go into the details but what should have been a nice relaxing dinner turned out to be hell and took over and hour and half. It was a complete joke. DO not eat there if you ever roll through Parker. What a bunch of dumbshits!
The trip home was uneventful thank god. Everyones healthy and I can now reflect and laugh it all off. Besides at least my boat ran strong and now its even lighter which should add on a couple of MPH's!

Sorry to hear about all the problems this weekend, and you did miss a great party. I think all the food places in Parker need some seriuse help, we stoped at McDonalds to grap a quick bit before hitting the road, RivertoysJas was in there and said it took him quite awhile to get his food. after waiting a few minutes at the counter and no service we left to go to Taco Bell. We ordered as soon as we walked in and thought we would be out of there in time. WRONG we could have bbq'ed our own damn food in the parking lot by the time they served us.

We did miss you guys at op6 but I did see Nevada's dollar at foxes. :D
Just curious, what team did you take on the game. I have been learning the hard way this season on college & pros. I now know there are no locks!!! ;)

lol, they just work on slow mo in Havasu & Parker. Taco bell in parker & jacks in havasu have been good to us.
Just dont order the entire menu because thats when they get confused. lol :D

Not to mention that when Con and I FINALLY got our food it was WRONG and had to be redone. We got our new food (which was also wrong - but **** it, we had to GO), ate and left before the guy who was originally behind us in line even got his order!!!
Deano, sorry to hear of your troubles!!! It can only get better now though!!! I saw you on the 405 Thursday, but you couldn't see me WAY down in my little Del Sol. LOL.

Funny thing is we went to Burger King first and after no one helped us for 10 minutes we decided to try Sopranos. Geeeezzzz I guess its a common thing. Next time I'll stick with buying food at Chrevron!

It was south of the check point. Probaly about halfway between 10Fwy. and the check point. He was coming right at me and I wasn't paying attention. When I spotted him it was too late. My fault though. Guess I should not be pulling the boat doing almost 75.:rolleyes: He said he caught me on radar. Maybe I will invest in a radar detector.
