Okay, so I am changing the oil in my boat this weekend and have a stoooopid question. I've changed the oil in our vehicles and toys a million times; however, I've never done it on our boat. Instead of taking the oil filter off and going to the parts or marine store to get ripped off...does anyone know a part number for a Fram or other oil filter that fits a Mercury 350 mag (EFI)???
I know this isn't the gear heads thread but there seems to be way more activity here than there.
Thanks.

I don't know about Merc, but I think a 350 is a 350! The 5.7 in my 95 Silverado takes the same filter as my 88 5.7 Volvo Penta in my boat.
Or, I'm completely high and you should disregard what I just said.

Hey waldo, let us know. Now that I've thought about it, I bought the filter for my 88 350 and noticed it was the same as my truck, but I haven't put it on yet!!!..

Hey Pete, I like it. Good power, Ski's great, I get a over 50 mph on a 15/19 prop, and the gas consumtion seems to be pretty good. However, I want to go faster!!!! I got more prop, but only so much.
It's definatly better than a v6 but there's nothing like a big block if you want to go fast (I mean spend a lot on gas);)

I went and purchased a Fram PH 2. It what was called for in all of the 5.7 Chevy motors. I will be checking this weekend and I'll let ya know.
I have plenty of PH 8's (Ford F-150) but didn't think it would work. Just not used to the whole SBC thing yet.
