You need a photo editing program such as Photochop or others to reduce the size before you upload it. :)

On XP I can click on the photo then click e-mail. When it asks if you want to resize the file click yes make all my images smaller. Then e-mail it to yourself. The pic you recieve will be the right size.
If you don't have photoediting software this is an easy way.

I use Thumbs Plus for managing my pic's. It shows all the thumbnials for easy selection, has the tree on the side for drag & drop movement. You can do your basic editing, reaize, crop adjust colors etc. I use Adobe Photo Shop for other work.

I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 7.0 It does a lot for the price and is very compatable with my Dell pc.

If you don't want to get real involved with photochopping stuff, try Irfanview, it has most of the common image editing options, and the resize feature has several excellent filters that can reduce your image without pixelating it.
Download a free full version at Irfanview.com (http://www.irfanview.com/)
If you want to put someones head on someone elses body than this is not the program for you. Otherwise...........
<<<< I did my avatar with this, it used to be 600 x 800.
