the classified section is full of full blown race boats for sale. this hemi-powered Wickens flatty was the most expensive one for sale at 10 grand. The rest of the ready to go racers could be had for 5-6 grand. those were the good old days.

cool stuff cyclone. Do any of you guys know a guy named Ray DeFir? He's a wealth of knowledge it seems up here in the northwest. Its been awhile since I talked to him but he restores some of these neat old boats and has a couple molds (rayson craft I think?) and still makes them on a custom order basis.
Maybe oldrigger or someone might know him? He's done some neat stuff like water skiing the length of the lower columbia river and drag boat stuff.

Great stuff Mike.
I love the engine placement on that early Weiman....... Yikes
Those lots are on the parker strip. My parents had 4 or 5 friends that bought in that lakeside development in about 67-8. There was originaly a river front lot for everyone to enjoy with a ramp, picnic tables, big trees you know, if you didn't have a water front lot, you still could enjoy the river by buying in there. That didn't last long, they sold it off and built homes there. That development also went across the road and up a hill.
Opps, I just looked again at the pic you posted. It shows the lot I'm talking about, although I can't remember the shuffle board game.
