Friday I was out at Texas Motor Speedway, we had a little deal with our sponsors. A couple of guys brought their hot rods, and our driver had his Lambourghini Diablo along.
We decided to have a little fun, so we were taking turns driving around the Speedway outer ring road. I got to drive a Z06 Corvette to warm up a bit, then strapped on a 2003 Ferrari 575 Maranello.
The car was unreal. I was going around 90 degree sweepers in the 'vette at 70 MPH and about to lose the back end. The 575 took the same corners at 100 MPH +, and I got it up to 145 on a 3/4 mile straight. I have never driven anything even close to the Ferrari, it's a whole different world.
I didn't get a chance to drive the Lambo or a Maserati coupe that was there, the TMS folks shut us down, heheh.
What have you all had fun with?

Not to many exotic, but expensive:rolleyes: Growing up my dad was general manager of a Rolls Royce/Jaguar and Range Rover Car Dealership. He would bring home some nice cars.
Once I turned 18, went to Vegas to deliver or pick up cars for his company.
My Dad won a trip from Range Rover to London for 7 days and took me. We traveled all over London and went to their factory and got to go on the Range Rover 4WD test track. Which was cool, we had our choice of about 6 models to run all around the hills with professional drivers teaching as we went all over mountains. One guy in our group hit a tree and did some damage and they just laughed, part of being test vehicles.

I got to drive a Porsche 911 twin turbo all over Tampa FL.
I was working at a stereo shop and after I finished the install my boss handed me the keys and told me to take it back to the dealership ! so needless to say I took the long way back to the dealer. it was wicked fast and cornered like it was on rails.
Ahhhh those were the good ole days ..
driven a few Jags, benzes and vettes if you want to call those exotic .

I was lucky enough to have been offered the chance to drive an R5-Turbo 2, that was a Renault "Le Car", but totally race ready, only had 5 of them in the U.S. at that time, awesome ride, A twin turboed 928, owned by a former Monkee, and a built Pantera.
rrrr, hows everything? Hope we can get together next year when you guys are in town and you have a little more time to hang out, thanks again, we had a blast.

Not really exotic but I had a chance to drive a brand new 930 Turbo in 1989 I think it was. Wicked fast car after you got past the turbo lag. Buddy worked at the Porsche dealer on PCH in NB and he had to deliver the car to Pasadena. Picked me up on the way and we cruised it around for a while.

Ferrari 308's lots of them
Ferrari California
Ferrari 250 LM

Maserati "Bird Cage"
Maserati Biturbo's
Maserati Bora
Maserati Quattroporte III

Hey Gnarley, that bird cage Maserati is a pretty rare "bird". There is one in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway collection. I have paused and studied the intricate frame of the car, it must have taken a long time to fabricate.
Using an oxyacetylene torch is about the slowest method there is to join two metals....

Recently test drove four '04 luxury sport sedans, the two highlights were BMW M5, and the CTS-V. Both were fun, fast and available, the M5 for about 72, the CTS-V for 50. Because I currently drive a stock CTS, I loved the new baby caddy. Has the 400 hp 'Vette with manual and incredible brakes. Both of these cars are incredable considering you can buy them right off the dealers floor...
