My buddy had two of his quads ripped off from his driveway in Norco a couple of days ago. He had his bikes locked and the trailer locked, and somone took it at approx 7:30 to 8:00 Am . His wife was home in the shower. Found cut lock on the driveway.
'88 Honda 250. He bought it brand new in 88. Has FMF sticker kit and skid plates on the front A arms and the whole way back. FMF pipe and very clean. Very rarely ridden I you see one that looks almost new for sale, let me know.
98ish 300ex. Nothin specail about this bike. Will be harder to find.

When I left my trailer an my brother in laws house in Riverside in front of his house with a hitch lock and all (very nice neighborhood) about 20 min. after I left a Chevy truck rolled by and parked next to the bikes/trailer and was spooked when my brothers neighbor came out to check things out. He left quickly and so did the white Escort on the other side of the block (look out). It's Sand Time and lots of peep's are looking for bikes to steal. Good luck. It does not matter what neighborhood you're in someone will always give a heads up to anyone who will steal.

No question is stupid. He left bout 6 Am, like he dose every day. The quads still there. The neiborgh left at 7:30, quads still there, he noticed the cover slightly off, the wind. At 8:15 his wife went to the car to take the kids so school, nothing there. She said she was in the shower and getting ready. Blow drier and stuff. They have 4 labs. She did not hear anythig.
By the way, the cops called and found the trailer on the side of the road with no tires off Calico rd near the 15. Thats south Corona,

Even though I have theft insurance, I lock the hell outta my quads at the dunes.
Several chains with locks, several kryptonite cables, trucks wedgeing them in ect.
Still, it may happen to me too.
Sorry about your friends,, it really sux getting ripped off.
The authorities are now running registration checks at the dunes,, and maybe they'll get caught.
Hope so.

I hate to hear stories like this. I work hard for my toys and I know you all do also. Then some a-hole thinks he can just snag them. I'm in the mode of lock or store away everything. People who rip honest people off make me:mad:

Keep an eye on ebay. That's where my stolen prop turned up. They busted the guy (I even got to partipate!) and solved many, many other prop thefts!

Just FYI - for anyone selling bikes or quads in the phoenix area, there seems to be a new rash. If someone calls asking about the bikes/quads make sure you ask them for some ID before allowing a test ride. I've heard of two cases recently where someone has come by to see a quad and then took it for a test ride only to never return. The police assume, once they are out of sight there's a waiting vehicle they pull into and take off. Both times the car they arrived in turned out to be stolen from a nearby mall.

When I was selling my Banshee had some kids come look at it and I just had a bad feeling about it, they didnt have the money said they would think about it but kept checking out my garage and made comments about the boat etc.
Next day, there was a theft down the street and a week later my neighbors quads.....a few of them were caught and we later found out that they were not interested in the quads themselves but were checking the areas out to come back and steal them. Thank God my 2 German Shepherds scared them from my place.
If I have something to sell now, I take it elsewhere to sell it/show it as I dont want strangers at my house, dogs or not.
