Just got an 18ft. Spectra. It currently has two sets of eclipse 6x9's and an orion 12. One of the rear 6x9's is not working and the 12 is low watts. I have a set of audiobahn 6x9's that kick ass 700w peak 2 ways with gyro tweeters and a set of JL 6x9's if dilligaf will give them up. The boat has 2 eclipse amps I believe 1 4ch and 1 2ch. I also have a 1000w 4ch special edition amp w/2 seperate crossovers I plan on using for the 6x9's. The 2ch eclipse was running 2 orion 12's but i think im gonna need more power. My plan is to do the 6x9 change and get a different 12 and amp to run it. I would like a 1200-1800w 12 and an amp that could run it. I need some ideas on an affordable way to do this and maybe some thoughts on if this would be a good set up.

Congratulations on the boat.
You may find the folks in the Boat Audio/Visual forum to be helpful. It can be found elsewhere on this site.
If you are crossing over actively, you don't need a ton of power for your satellites. Throw your power at the subs. Maybe you can find a reasonably priced 4 channel amp with 75~100 watts/channel to run your 6x9s and use your special edition amp to run a couple of dual voice coil subs?

I have an eclipse 4ch that would be in that range but I dont think it would do my new 6x9's justice.

Understandable! However all i need is the equipment and I will do the install. Affordable is relative to the need!!

There goes another 5mph !!!
I think it is time for an impeller change !!!
With the way the boat handles you will want to install extra sterio stuff towards the rear of the boat or at least dash back.
Have fun, any questions feel free to call !!!
