I just got a letter in the mail that my insurance coverage on my house will be cancelled at the end of December.
Due to the fires in San Bernardino I am an "unnacceptable risk."
I can't wait to see the rates I will have to pay now.

Seems like you would be less risk since there's nothing left to burn;)

Brian,
Sorry to hear that, it sucks! Shoot me and email and I'll hook you up with my sister in law, she works for Accordia Insurance down that way. Since they didn't have a single loss in all of the fires, they might be writing new policies.

better yet, send her an email or a call.
Her name is Connie Jones and her work number is 818-377-3811.
Her email address is connie_jones@acordia.com
Good Luck!

Allstate is hard to beat right now. They are writing new policies in the fire areas from what I have heard. I just switched to them and went from $1,500 to $725 per year.

Not bad OL. Allstate pays their claims pretty well too from what I have heard.
I have Travelers insurance, I shopped last year when Farmers wanted to raise mine from 800 (which was already way too high)to 1,600, (never ever had a claim for anything in 25 years of owning a home). I got Travelers for 620. Full coverage, better than I had with Farmers. I dumped Farmers for all of my insurances that I carried, auto, home and umbrella. They just got too proud of what they were selling.

I just switched over to AAA, it dropped from $1,300 to $540.
I get the discount for home, autos, Rv and boat.
