That's kinda what it looked like when we went out Friday afternoon northeast of Cedar Glen/Lake Arrowhead area:

That's A bummer. Those are good photos nonetheless. Mother Nature will prevail once again.

Ya, it was actually good for the forest to thin out it--was so over-grown. The damn tree-huggers make it near impossible to manage the forest to a healthy level. The sick thing is that if they would have let some limited logging in, this picture would be a lot prettier today. Looks like the tree-hugger's plan back-fired. Pun intended.:D
