Who has the most unique boat name? My 82 Nordic is named "Happy When Shes Wet" The 24' Tiki bar that will primere at the 2004 Table Rock Roost ( in southwest Missouri ) is named "The Wet Spot" (floating island Tiki bar). Lets hear a few more.................

In Florida I had a 38' Hatteras, It was named "After Midnight" because thats when I usually came into the cut at Ft. Lauderdale. I spent alot of my time at the coast guard station being checked for drugs and it was only until I put the name on the boat that they left me alone.

sewer pipe installation and excavation company in Temecula.
Appropriately, he wrote "Shit Pays" on the back of his boat.
Can anyone remember what Ricky Ford, the boat racer from Jamaica that was named Ragamuffin? As a matter of fact he had 8 different raceboats. All had great success in the race circuit too. The funny part was written on the back of the boat and it looked something like this: PHUGMAGNN
Obviously most considered it to be some saying from Jamaica but in fact, if you sound it out in English you'll probably get the picture. Pretty creative, Id say.

i am also building a 24' pontoon that will im sure be more of the "party" boat. im thinking of naming her "Boobie Trapped". reason being is that i am getting all the friends wives and girlfriends (the willing ones) to put thier boob prints on the side panels, and sighn thier names. color of paint is by choice of the boob owner.:D should be interesting...:p i thought that would be a good idea as the kids still wouldnt see boobs but the adults would get a kick out of it.:)

I have heard it is bad luck to rename it, depends if you are superstitious or not I guess. Union Jack had a suggestion that may or may not be the way to do it.
The legend I have always heard is you have to locate the person who named the boat, and have them approve the new name. Only then can you change the name, otherwise you are stuck with it.
The vessel is supposed to take on a personality of the name given to it, that is why it is bad luck to change it.

When I first built my boat, it had an oil leaking problem so everyone nicknamed my boat "EXXXON VALDEEZ." I would come out and someone would have grease penciled the name on the back of the boat and it would piss me off. Currently I have not named the boat. Never found anything that I really liked.

I purchased this little boat from a friend of mine that wanted to purchase a 20 tunnel jet eliminator, I ran the olds motors for 2 years , kept blowing them up, so we built an identical BBC for this 16 footer that he had in his tunnel jet, its been the best thing that ever happened to this boat, to make a long story short, he named his tunnel jet CHASE ME, my lil boat was named pooh [by his wife] from all the motor problems. He died last year this Jan. and I renamed it
CHASE ME II in his memory.
