Sounds crazy, you taking the boat up there on this trip?
Can't believe one of those big moving trailers are that much:yuk:

Have you tried Ryder? A couple years ago when I moved from Wa. State to Vegas they kicked U-Hauls ass by like 30%.

the boat is gonna be towed by my truck driven by someone else...
as far as the ryder thing goes... i went to the website, and it said they do not offer one-way rentals:confused: didnt seem right to me but that's what it said

Robert, I assume you only want it one way:(
Must be expensive to get to Chico, the searches I did came out with the same price.

When are you moving up there?

When is the move? How about putting it all in a trailer and trying to get a few people to tow it a few miles each?
We did it with one of the Banderlogger's boats. We had it going from Morgan Hill, CA to Virginia and only needed someone through the state of TX. Anyway, it turned out that Jim moved back to Morgan Hill before it could happen.
If need be, I'll be willing to tow it a ways.

That is way I am asking on the dates. We are doing work up north, I will take my truck if I go, might be able to help out. Not a for sure thing :(

It's always a lot cheaper to do it round trip so, as crazy as it might sound, you might want to consider driving it back. Of course there's extra gas involved in driving it back empty. And then there's the loss of time but maybe someone who is helping you move your stuff needs a ride home anyway and, instead of driving their vehicle both ways, he/she could drive it back for you?

That drive sucks. I would pay the money and do it once rather than three times. :(
