Well as bad luck would have it....We were supposed to leave tonight for 6 days at Havasu. I was really looking forward to Steamboat on Thursday, rain or shine. Got the shakes and withdrawals real bad, and on top of that I really miss boating! Unfortunately my 84 year old mother-in-law slipped on our kitchen tile and went down hard the other day. Three broken ribs and a broken shoulder, she is a 24hour care patient now. We moved her into our home aprox 3 years ago because it was time....and she has done real well, until now. Oh well, we will be home bound for a couple of months while she heals....hopefully I can sneak out for a weekend and get wet, MariAnn(the better half) has the spring to look forward to!

I was gonna head out to Havasu but it look's like it's going to be cold there like it is here. Boating isn't much fun to me in the cold weather. It's tough finding a babysitter on New Year's eve. So, it look's like I'll just be hangin out with the wife and kid's at home.

I am heading out to the river tomorrow with a group of friends. Campfires and booze with some fireworks of our own. I have my portable satellite ready for the Rose Bowl with plenty of champagne and beer. No rain so the boats are going in the water and do some cruising with the ski jacket and gloves. :D
