Yes it is. You take the plugs out and leave em out till the season starts over. Otherwise you're gonna be replacing your entire motor before the boat hits the water again. I dont know how they do it in the rest of country but here in Denver Your best to pull the plugs September 1st and leave them pulled between outtings you might take in September. The first freeze usually doesnt happen until late October but the weather here is just to hard to predict.

I just got back from three days in Truckee, Ca, where we've been staying in our motorhome with hookups, but only used the 115 A/C power. Last Night it dropped to -17! FU*K was that cold! It was so Cold that our 1987 4X4 Dodge Raider we tow wouldn't start, the battery was OK but the 20/50 oil was to thick for the -17 and it just didn't want to spin, when it finally did start the oil pump quit & it spun a rod just as it tried to stay running
Oh well next time I go up there in a friggin Blizzard I'll make sure to put in 5w/30. What an adventure we towed the Raider behind our motorhome and worked the back roads around several I80 road closures to get as far up the mountain as we could and at 5 PM New Years day Cal Trans opened the road for a few minutes & we got through. By the time we got to Donner Summit there were still blizzard conditions & whiteouts! :eek!: It was friggen hairy but made it safely there and home :)
