Gotcha perverts! This is a pic of my sub box . There are two Kicker Comp VR subs in their own 2.25 appx. cu' box. At the bottom of the box the rectangular ports connect and run under the seat buttom.the whole box is constructed out of 5/8 MDF, braced and reinforced inside with alot of fiberglass mat. I had to raise the seat 3" to fit the ports but nobody really wants to sit down there anyway. Especially when the music is playin!:D

there is also a remote bass knob under the drivers seat to adjust the BOOM factor.

Here is the factory wired remote that I've been told doesn't last when it regularly gets wet. The manual even says to keep it away from heat, water, and vibration.

I am gonna take the factory remote off the transom and put it up in the bow so I can adjust yhe stereo from the beach. Then mount the new one at the transom. has anyone else had problems with either remote?
BTW does anyone else think the sony wireless remote sucks? why put the volume at the bottom?

I went thru about 3 of the XM10's the round ones before I now have 2 that work good in the boat for 2 full summers. I hear the oval ones are the way to go. I like the round ones because of the LCD.

I have had both...and did some research when putting ours in...The Sony is great because of the LCD...However, the LCD has went out in at two boats I know of, and went out in our Eliminator. Access makes one with LCD and I heard they go out as well...We went with the Access Oval/non LCD...It works great, but your installer needs to know that the wires that come included need to installed properly...their wires are not the best and lose connectivity when extended...It has something to do with the shielding, most installers know how to compensate for this...None of them are perfect, but the Access Non LCD, if installed properly will probably last the longest.
