1980 26' Sleekcraft Ambassador with a Harman Marine 440HP BBC and a Berk jet. Picked it up at the factory in Santa Fe Springs and took it back to Houston where I lived at the time.
First few times I got it close to a dock I would end up slowly driving around in circles trying to dock it. Had no clue how to drive a jet. :D

My first boat was a wooden flat bottom skiff with a 12hp Royal outboard on it.
My first hot boat was 1965 Stevens flat bottom with a 427 Holoman Moody Ford, no in-out on the V-drive and fixed cavitation plate.

My bro and I first had a 1979 Howard mini day cruiser. It was actually a gift from our father it used to be his, but he let it sit for 10 years and it was in bad shape. My bro and I completely re-did it from woodwork to fiberglass, etc. My dad was so impressed at the outcome that he became an Indian giver and wanted it back, conveniently after if was finished. At least it got our father back out on the river. So my bro and I bought a 1976 19' Tahiti jet boat. I miss that lil guy, but not in 3 feet of chop.

Without a scanner, I just took a pic of the catalogue it was in....
Anyway, this was my first boat; 1990 Hi-Tech 20.6 ....This is a pic of it (my actual boat) before they hung the big Black Max on the back with a stand off and land sea jack; they had it in their catalogue....It is still one of the prettiest gels I think I have seen....Orange Fades with Burgandy, Silver Pin Strip, Pink Pin Stripe as well....and it was just a trick boat...Land/Sea Foot Trim and Jack controls.....did not handle the Havasu chop as well I wished...setup was just not right..probably needed more set back....now a buddy has it, and he does not take it out often at at all. ..It actually won best Gel in the Hot Boat trials the year it was sent...I think 1989/1990...I would still like to get that back issue...Lots of fun memories...kind of wish still had it for Parker Runs...I will always remember it..
