For those of you who know HL he is in the hospital, Desert Valley Community Hospital in Victorville, CA. He will be undergoing surgery on his foot AM Tuesday. :frown: HL is a diabetic. He had a small blister on his big toes Thursday by Sunday night his toe had become infected, with the infection traveling up his leg becoming sepsis. The doctors have him on IV antibiotic that are helping but because of the damage to his toe they are going to try a debris removal procedure. If his toe begins to heal properly all will be fine. But if it does not there is a possibility they will amputate his toe. Because of the diabetes HL has poor circulation in his feet which causes infections to move rapidly and the healing process to move very slowly, this slow healing is the main reason some diabetic loose toes feet and partial leg. Which is a possibility for HL if the wound does not heal properly. Please send out your prayers for a speedy healthy recovery. We are hoping that he will be released from the hospital by the end of the week.

I was with David all weekend and he did complain of a blister on Sat. He soaked it and hooked up with us at Martini Bay that night. He even called me Sunday evening to make sure the long tow home went alright. Thats the kind of guy David is!! My thoughts are with you and Sandra and I will be dialing your number.

This condition is normally brought on by 29' Shockwaves in 3-4' seas. It can be easily cured with a 34' Shockwave or a 39' Outerlimits GTX.
Seriously.........Thanks for sharing the story. Best wishes and a prayer for you both.....

Hello All
I want to thank all of you for your wonderful wishes. Before surgery HL was having a very hard time emotionally he was very concerned that he may lose a portion of his toe via amputation. I was able to access Hot Boat on his phone before surgery, which turned out to be the best medicine of the day. All of your wonderful wishes and comments brought him back to his normal joyful self. WYRD your comment was one of the best after reading your post HL snapped out of his dull drums, Thank you. :rollside: HL is still in the hospital we won’t the out come of the surgery until Weds AM, as we have not yet seen the surgeon. Surgery was the easy part, our worry now is the healing process as long he doesn’t get another infection he will recover with out amputation. This evening HL was seen by an endocrinologist (diabetic specialist) who will be overseeing HL’s recovery after speaking to the Dr for over an hour discussing HL’s current an future condition HL has great confidence in Dr Otsuka, yes he is Japanese but that is ok because we all know that HL is a Perverted Japanese (Chinese). Freak.:2purples: PlayaPlaya, SBMike, ShakeyoAzz, BigBear, Photoglu :D . Thank you for the phone calls even though he wasn’t able to speak to all of you, your calls and best wishes meant the world to him. HL is right he always knows who his friends are . May God bless you, as much as God has blessed him with friends like you. I will keep posted as things progress. Again thank you to all of you.
