Its about 3-3.5 hours towing a boat (thats going about 65-70mph). I live on the west side and its about 3 hours to Havasu from my driveway. Its definately worth it to bring your boat :D Let me know, I'd love to hear that whipple instead of just seeing it.
You talking about this weekend?

Lets hang.. I’m trying to get out there on Friday to do the lift on my truck.. then spend the night and pick up a friend of mine from the Phoenix airport on sat morning and head down the lake.. If that sounds like something you would be interested in.. Lets hook it up..:D

JP, as your Consigliere, I would advise you to bring an extended hitch for use after your lift is done:)

Sara hit me up this morning to take the boat out Sat. It's supposed to be mid. 70s. I'd be down for Lake Pleasant if there's going to be a few peeps out. Let me know.

That was a low blow. Drinking beer while watching the roundy-rounds is totally different than drinking beer and boating:D

What route do y'all take from Phoenix? I've only gone out once from here and I went: 10W to Vicksburg Rd. and followed the signs to Parker(95?), kept going till I hit Havasu. Final destination was actually Needles so from there I took the 40. Is there a better way so I don't have to go slow following the river?

That's the best way to go.

i would rather be at the lake also. i have my little tv on the boat in case of sunday boating.:D i like to have my cake and eat it, too.
route to havasu from phoenix:
I-10 west to Quartzite, AZ 95 north, AZ 72 North, AZ 95 north to Parker/Havasu.
Seems like no matter how many times we stop or don't, it takes exactly 3.5 hrs. go figure.

I think Vicksburg Rd. is the 72(or gets you there), it's exactly 100 mi. out of Phoenix. Quartzite isn't that far out is it?

Quartzsite is a longer drive. It is past the Vicksberg road exit by almost 20 miles (I think). I have done both ways and the Vicksberg road is less total miles.

right. but sometimes you get stuck behind a big truck and cant really pass and it can be frustrating. for me, just seems easier to stay on I-10 then go north.

Cool, I'm not towing when I head out so passing isn't a prob. Thanks for the info,
four((doesn't get out much;) ))speed
