What was the name of that movie??????? Ahh ****. I think it was Kurt Russell and he was running through the streets of Japan. In several shots you can see the busses that look like a wattage overload, but appearently that is the way they do things. Thats the result you get when you don't have DOT laws. Or laws that aren't as strict as here.

LOL
Serious Bling-Bling Kings
Looks like 'Truckstops of America..ah, Japan, or Malaysia, or Singapore, or where ever that is" They all love that stuff over there.
I can see it now...if our NC DOT guys were faced with a roadside inspection on one of these crates..."Okay, we need to do a light check now...you know the rules...if you have 'em, they'd better work...every one of 'em...yea, I got all night..."
:D :D

A good friend of mine, who is a native of the Phillipine islands, has as similar creation on a smaller scale, built on a custom chassis based off of a Toyota Land Cruiser.
Most of what you see on that site is hand fashioned from primarily stainless steel. They have a good deal of corrosion and rust concerns there due to the climate.
Wet Dream is correct, that is an accepted standard of customizing for the far east.
It does seem strange for us to look at, but there is quite a bit of talent in those things, from the galvanized steel handmade chassis' to the hand formed stainless steel bodies. And ldont forget the custom paint and airbrushing.
I'm gonna see if I can scan the pic's of my buddies "jeepnie" and post them here. It's really quite unbelievable.
