What do you folks eat when you're on the water? We don't have dockside restaurants here so we have to take our own grub. I like salmon dip and crackers but that only takes you so far. :D

One of my favorites is barbequed ground squirrel. The little bastards are quick though so you have to be on your game to score one.

Have you guys ever avoided wiping in a beach washroom because of the rough conditions and then gone for a swim to clean things up?
Come on... I can't be the only one.

That shot reminds me of a time my co-worker Gain and I went to Calgary for a meeting. Afterward, we hit Chinatown and got loaded up with mountains Szechuen grub (nothing like a corporate credit card) before going back to the air port and heading home.
We caught a serious tail wind on the way home. Of course, there was heavy turbulence also. Gain drove me home as fast as he could. I didn't quite make it.

Tom we have a thing down here that is popular for lunches. I like to call them............sandwhiches.
You get some bread, some meat, some cheese, (preferably a nice sharp cheddar) maybe a bit of lettuce and some spreads like mustard (Canutard;) ) .
Put it together in a bag to keep it dry and clean. Then when you get hungry....you eat it.
Does this help??? :D

This is the best thing going, good sour dour bread long thin style with tghe flour on it, salami, and smoked gouda chees , no mustard, mayo , just meat cheese and bread, tear off a piece and go.

I don't think it will do you any good Tom, but I like to pick up some fried chicken at Bashes when I hit Havasu. That's if we don't do the sandwich thang. Things were easier when I just drank my meals.

What are you... some kind of wiseguy or something?
I wish I was the sort who would prepare a great lunch made with fresh ingredients but I'm pretty much a CostCo salmon dip and crackers kind of guy. If I can't just throw it from fridge to cooler, I'm pretty much not going to do it. I'll buy the ingredients with good intentions, though.

Ya know!!!
I like seafood just as well as anyone you could imagine. I've eatin some weird shit at the local sushi bars, but "salmon dip" does not make me think of eating, if you catch my meaning.

Tom Brown

I don't get your meaning. What are you trying to say, Scream?

I think he was trying to suggest that salmon dip is something you'd buy to clean engine parts with Tom.
I certainly wouldn't consider eating it.

Salmon Dip...
There's Bean Dip, Avacado Dip (Guacamole), Onion Dip, but Salmon Dip? That aint right, besides I don't think there's enough Altoids in North America to take care of that breath...
In my opinion of course...

Pink snapper makes a fine meal anytime. Of course you don't want 'em too young or too old - pink snapper must always be fresh! When you get that fresh stuff onto your tongue you wonder why you don't have it more often...
