might also post this on OSO. There are tons of Baja owners and many people with all around opinions.
Never mind, see you've been there done that.

Bill,
Check out this site

I've seen this boat and it is very, very clean. I know Don at Triad and he is a good guy to deal with.

Does not sound like much off of list price to me.

If you really want this boat take your check book with you put down as much as you can tell them you will write the down payment right now if they take off 7% before the financing dont let them make it sound like they are giving you a deal because its the bank that is, not them

Yup, not much off list. The financing makes things messy, though. 20% off list is not unheard of, in fact, I was told 22% on a Powerquest a few years back while perusing a showroom http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif And I'd expect to pay 6.5% on a loan from my bank, which would alter that all together. Hope this helps http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif

Gentleman,
Just got back from the Baja Dealer where I just order a new 2002 Baja 232.
Basically walked into the dealers showroom with a blank check told him what I want and how much I was willing to pay. After about 20 minutes of ^*&@#$% and minor changes to my original offer, they accepted.
Baja 232 Mercruiser 496MAG MPI (375HP), Bravo One with side water pickups, Dual Ram Trim Tabs w/ Indicators, Kiekhaefer Control w/ trim on handle, Gaffrig Gauge Panel set, Color Red, Quick and Quiet II plus exhaust (capt. call), Aero drop-down bolsters, Pop-up cleats, Stainless steel rub-rail, Snap in Carpet and Cockpit cover, Color Dove, Depth Finder, Second battery tray and switch, Aluminum dual axle I-beam trailer, aluminum rims, diamond plated fenders and brakes (both axles). Dealers "Coast Guard Package" includes everything you need to get out on the water (Lines, anchor, life jackies flares, etc...)
Now comes the hard part...waiting the six weeks for the boat to be built.
