I have an Extreme trailer. My boat is occasionally parked in front of my house. I cannot find a toungue lock that will fit this trailer. The flange is too wide for most applications. (2 5/16)
Does anyone have ideas or suggestions?

A chain through the wheels...front and back will keep it from rolling...Mike

I found this one (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jhtml?id=0013344015017a&navAction=jump&navCount=0&indexId=&podId=0013344&catalogCode=IE&parentId=&parentType=&rid=&cmCat=search&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fcatalog%2Fitem-link.jhtml.2_A&_DAV=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcontent%2FPod%2F01%2F33%2F4 4%2Fp013344ii01.jpg&hasJS=true) at Cabelas. I know when I had my Extreme trailer I had a square one that went completely over the coupler but I could not find that one again.

If you are into cutting the tongue and making sleeve that you can unpin, that's the best way. Locks are made to break, but it's tough to steal something that has no hitch on it. I did it to my trailers and its give a bit of piece of mind at night.

I had a lock like that on my brother Jimbo's trailer. We "lost" the key. 2 whacks with a 12 oz hammer and it was off...didn't even wake up the neighbors.

You can buy a boot, similar to what cops put on cars with unpaid parking tickets. No way in hell you will get that thing off without the keys. I have seen them avail. online so you might want to do a search for that

First, you cut the hitch off of the tongue. Then cut a section of square tubing that will fit inside the square tubing of the trailer. Weld the hitch to the tubing and slip it inside the trailer tongue. Drill a hole through the tongue and tubing, slip a hitch pin through and you're done. It's basically the same thing as the receiver hitch on your truck.

That is a little more work and expense than I was looking for. I will try a chain or lock.:)
