Im in the market for a new canopy. What do you guys recommend in the way of a 10x10 in the $100-$150 range. Brand and model would be helpful.. Thanks
Also which ones should i stay away from?

I like EZ-UP. ThatJeffGuy here in the HB Forums makes CUSTOM covers for them. He does some nice work. You can search for him but, with your title,,,,, I am sure he will post here.:D

I bought an ezup at the outlet store 2 years back. I think we paid around $180 out the door. So far it's been the best canopy we've ever had.

Check with THATJEFFFGUY here on the boards.
He is designing one for me that matches my boat. I think the prices are better than an EZUP.

We've had a quick shade for the past year and it has worked great. Great quality and fit and finish.

How durable are the aluminum frames. Seems to me that a good wind would either blow the thing over or bend the aluminum frame.
Don't the canopies made by thatjeffguy use a steel frame?

I've had an EZUp for 9 years now. The aluminum frame held up well, but the fiberglass shock poles needed replacing a long time ago, I would not recommend that particular model for that reason. The good thing about EZ Up is that they'll always support thier product.
I've seen dozens flying around at the river over the years. I'm told that 5 gallon buckets with sand or water for the corners will hold it down, but we always use stakes. It always amazes me that people are willing to spend all kinds of money to buy expesensive stuff like canopies, chairs, ice chest, etc. and leave them laying around on the banks of a river that rises and falls more rapidly than the stock market.

Nothing rises or falls as fast as the stock market.

we actually have one of each and havent ever had a problem with the wind. always stake them down, though. we also attach misters to one of them. really comes in handy after being out on the water all day and you are trying to cook dinner in the campground.:D

Need a canopy ? Gimme a call ! 888.903.COOL
Mine are comparable to the "EZ-Up Eclipse II" model. These aren't the cheapo models at Sam's/Costco that you'll be replcaing every summer though. Mine are made of t6 aluminum tubing and steel legs and sliders....NO plastic parts !! Also, my waterproof "urethane-backed canvas" tops come in a variety of colors, not just RED, WHITE, and BLUE...and will definitely outlast any EZ Up ! AND you can also bring em back to my shop for frame or top repair if they get damaged. I also do custom graphics and designs to match your boat. I know EZ-Up's been around awhile, but my canopies are all custom built to order, and are MADE IN THE USA ! I'm sure several members here will tell you, I have an excellent product.
8x8 - $299
10x10 - $399
