D&S Interiors And 78Eliminator, Bad News.

Hey Justin, if I were you I would get in my truck and go get your boat. I didnt want to make waves with you and those guys so I told some guy named Danny that I wanted to get my interior done in a boat kind of like the green one sitting back there (outside in the back). I walked up and thought WTF????????? I asked what type of interior he was doing for the Schiada and he danced around and didnt want anything to do with me seeing it. So I asked how long to do my interior? He told me 3500 bucks and 2-4 weeks, yea ok. I asked for a business card, no dice, their getting made or something like that. He said bring on down and they'll get right on it.:wink: Sorry but you're not going to like these pictures my friend.

Im thinking not much has been done to your boat and if thats your green cover in front of it then that hasnt been on there for a while by looking at the pictures. Sorry to be the one to show you but you need to look elsewhere for a interior, reguardless of what they say when you get ahold of them. Let me know if you want me to drag it out of there, im sure I could find a few friends to go down there with me to pick it up and take it to my house. Let me know.

I just had my boat completely reuphlstered from the ground up and they took 2 weeks and kept it inside the entire time. Did a great job. Campbell Boats in LHC still does GREAT frigging work....

Unforuntately this is not the first case I've heard of D&S neglecting something that a customer has left there. In the other case I know of, the person also had a very hard time get through or getting a straight answer about the status their interior. The work also took a LOT longer than quoted.
Especially now, I wouldn't use this shop on a bet now. The condition of that boat is just unbelievable and unexceptable.
As for Ultra, good for them for stepping up and helping. It wasn't something they had to do, but it shows they care. Now they have the huge task of instilling a Customer First attitude in their vendor!

Its a shame to see the boat in that condition. I'm glad someone got out there and helped with the rescue. It almost looks like the damn thing was parked underneath the exhaust chute for the sawdust remover and they were hoping the rain would wash it away. :( I'm not trying to rub anything in, but I built my own frames, designed my own scheme and it was finished for less than $800. Plus I got to keep all the extra material. Someone's making some bank out there, and its definately not paying for storage space. Sorry to see your boat like that.

78 if you want I can help you build some frames for that thing just buy materials. I built seats for 2 of my roommates each in one night. You do your own resin. I finished refurbishing one set in an hour and a half. I am in Nor Cal this weekend but I can possibly get you taken care of friday night I am assembling my motor sat. Let me know we can work something out. Just sit back and drink a few beers and do a little sanding and assembly it is really easy. the garage has cable and a refrigerator.

Here is a view from the back. I wasn't done with the middle yet. The theory there is to put a sub in there and make the rear like two buckets but still have tha option of an uncomfortable third seat.

So D&S in the 909 is one in the same eh? I was curious cuz they did the interior on my new boat, seems quality so far and they had it done in the time promised...it seems they take care of the new stuff before helping out the walk ins(you'd think they'd learn). :rolleyes:
I went and checked on mine while they were on it, I saw no weird shit going on...other than the fact they were working out of their homes because of a fire or something where their shop was.

I did the exsact same thing on my boat - except i had my friend stitch the covers - I/we installed - two seats and a deck cover - price material and wood 800.00 helping another friend do his the same we did mine .

It's a shame how the boat was treated, but i have known Danny and daniel since they worked at Cole boats. they both have always help me out. and thats with any boat i took over. my boat is a 94 cole v drive and the interior is just starting to rip at one seam in the front bow section, all the wood is resined and glass up, and this boat gets 250 min, hrs, a yr on it . so i dont know what happen with these two guys. they know me very well and have all ways done me right, yes some times taken extra 2/3 days but thats it. but no mater if the boat is old or new you should always take the best care of it especially when it's a customers that could bring in more BIS, mabe thats the problem thay dont want to turn away boats, then you neglect outher boats.:(
