A marine surveyor is what it sounds like you need. I assume they would want to get paid......why do you need a professional?

What kind of boat is it. Post a pic with details. We'll appraise it.

What kind of a boat is it? There is a lot of knowledge on this board. Plus a few forgery experts........;)

My friend just bought a 33' boat in Maryland and they charged him $10.00 per foot, plus 40 cents a mile driving time to the location of the boat.
The motors were $150.00 a piece separate from the above charge. This included a leak down on each motor.
Not cheap, but if I was buying a used boat I would want somebody knowledgable to go through it.
I have not had a boat appraised in years, so I don't know anybody local who does it. Sorry.
Good Luck.

There are very few certified boat appraisers out there. We use
Bill Dials in Bullhead City and he's quick, fair on the values, and is
a good guy to deal with. I've got his number at work if you need
it. You can bring it to Havasu or something can't you?

a recent loan required a "sams/nams" certified survey of the boat...there is a difference between an appraisal and a survey...check with your lending institution..
i used a guy named john bowman who works out of the mission viejo area. he was prompt, knowledgable and traveled to the boat location...he charged me $250 for a survey which included boat integrity and value.
contact john at johnbowman@4safe.com
tell him gary mocnik reffered you.
good luck
