They have one of those in the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. I actually drove my big truck through it a few times. The first time I was cruising along and noticed two things that strtled me. First of all, the f$%king road disappeared. Second, there was a f$%king NAVY Destroyer a mile in front of me where the f$%king road should have been!! Yes, I figured it out a few seconds later....

I have been across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in Virgina several years ago. It's a trip going thru those things ! I remember stopping to pay the toll and the guy tells me it was like $20 to cross, I said WTF..I don't wanna buy the damn thing, I just wanna use it, he laughed. But then I had to pay another $20 to come back across a few days later. It must be almost paid for now though cuz the website says the toll is only $10. It's kinda cool going down into the tunnel and seeing a huge freighter on top of you. Here's a link for some pretty interesting facts & figures.
