My mom is 100% Japanese and I grew up with her calling me Rinda. Why name your kid Linda if you cannot pronounce it? :)

Its ok, I know its funny too. Me and my brother used to get in so much trouble from our dad when we would make fun of mom when she would cross her r's and l's. Poor mom. :)

My grandmother would always say "Take out the thrash" and thing would be pronounced "ting", as in "What is that ting?" Always cracked me up.:D
