What kinda price would a person be looking at spending for a fairly standard tremor? Only upgrade would be 496HO.

I would think somewhere in the mid $60's OTD with an open bow and the HO. Give Barry a call at (909)898-9360.

It's too nerve racking for me to want to do this again anytime soon. But then again... :D
BTW - I really like your color scheme. 'Hope to see it out on the river soon.

I talked to a guy at the sandbar who had a pretty new one. I think it was named: "It Takes Two"
I asked: "Two what?"
"Two Incomes".....he says. :D
White with red flames, he said it hits 80....with a 496 Mag HO with some intake system from Arizona Speed and Marine....he said it adds 100 HP. Don't know if I believe it, but it sure did look nice.

I question the 80mph but the intake from AZ speed does exist....

That sounds like a lot of speed for only 100hp, but the Shockwave's are an amazing boat! :D :D :D ;)

he said it adds 100 HP.
I've heard this thing adds upwards of 125hp, bringing the total to nearly 550. That is not too bad at all, I can see that boat being near 80 with 550hp.
Has he had any issues or anything with it? Its only 5K, 125hp, reliable, and 10+mph, thats money well spent.

I am also skeptical regarding how much power the AZ speed and marine kit adds.
The best GPS speed I've gotten with a bone stock 496HO is 72.8 in my 25 Tremor.
125 horses should add at least 5 MPH so I think 80 isn't too far off.

That is a great boat. 80 still sounds a little high.....
I hope it does hit 80 w/that set up.
DHO's w/that pretty blue motor should be plenty fast too.

He must have double thru hull exhaust(four exhuast pipes) to pick up that extra 10MPH.....

think about it guys, its not the prop or the double transom exhaust.....
its the FLAMES that make it so fast

First of all - thanks for all the kind words about the pictures of the new Tremor! I've been away from the boards since last Monday. I had been out of town Tues-Thur and was completely swamped on Friday.
We picked up the new Tremor on Saturday. I was originally going to test the boat out in Elsinore but since it was getting late we headed straight to the river. After taking care of some business, we finally launched out of Needles Marina at about 5:30 (it was pretty windy out). It was a short maiden voyage but, man, was it sweeeeet. We wound up working our way to the sandbar, arriving back in Needles just after sundown. The motor ran perfectly. The interior was flawless, the engine compartment came out beautiful. This boat can really handle!! Of course I had to keep it semi-mellow during the break-in, although I did bump it up a few times ;) just to get a taste of the power. :D
We washed it and put in in storage until next weekend. We had to head back home this morning for the Easter festivities. We almost called the family this morning to "wish" them a happy Easter ;) . The real maiden voyage will take place next Sat & Sun between Needles and Havasu. Wave me down if you see me!
BTW, we didn't get to take very many picts. We wound up leaving the camera in the boat's glove box so I can't post anything.

Thanks FTT. I saw your boat at the shop a couple weeks ago - very nice! What part of Alhambra do you live? I grew up on the west side around Fremont and Commonwealth. Haven't been there in years. BTW, WOT won't be a problem. ;)

LOL. I'm glad it was flawless - it was 'lonely' out there that late. I guess the wind got people off the water a little early.

We put out ride on the water Friday but after seeing white caps on the river Saturday we just hung out with the family on a beach instead.
But that is the really nice thing about the 25. You really don't have to worry much about wind and whitecaps! Just get out and go! :D

I think my speedo is way off. I ran it up to about 4700 RPM and the speedo was reading 74-75, downstream. There was plenty of throttle left. I have to get ahold of a GPS then I'll know for sure. I'm gonna put a few more hours before I run it a little higher.

I know of one other Tremor owner with an HP500 that runs 75mph all day long with a full load of passengers and ice chests in 115+ heat.
I personally think that high 70's to maybe 80 is do-able. The best I've seen with a 496HO is 72.8mph. Since the HP500 has 50HP and much more torque, I think those numbers are within reach. That's my best guess anyway.....
Keep us posted!
