Anybody else going to be out on the water at Lake Mohave this weekend? I will be out with a couple of friends and maybe we can hook up in the casinos or on the water. Let me know via PM.

Cottonwood Cove ( do you know al their weekends are booked up until October?!)
We went last friday ( the rainy day) it rained here, it rained all the way out there, all night and a little bit Saturday morning. Then is was cloudy, but the lake was glass.... no wind, no sun though. We went up to Willow Beach (?) and some ranger dude wouldn't let us go farther because of the fish makeing out or something...
The sun came out and we found a nice cove....Sunday morning was rough, but we headed out to Katherines Landing part sun, part cloud. Ate lunch at Katherines and headed back to a cove.
Watched a thunderstorm over Katherines from our cove. Nice and hot, the water was VERY cold, but the lake wasn't low.
Monday was sunny but very windy....
Awsome time....

We planned a neighborhood thing back many years ago at CC. We took up the majority of one wing there. We had to make reservations (1) year in advance. It turned out great except for the cop who got circled by a bunch of Federal police and he would not drop his gun. We were about 50 feet from all of this and drunker than shit on (4) bottles of Patron. At first it seemed kind of comical but then reality snapped us to and we hid behind a retaining wall. The off-duty cop was about to be shot by at least 5-6 FP when he decided it was best to drop his gun. Unreal......

I still don't know how to post pics....I have never taken the time to figure it out. I usually rely on some of the experienced posters to help me out. If you ask somebody will take care of it for you.

IT keeps telling me my pic is too big and then it times out.
I may have tried to upload the whole file, and not just the pic.
There is a thread somewhere that tells you how, I just need to find it again and read it.
You will have fun this weekend. The motel was very full. Many groups, this one dad started WAILLING on his kid, yelling and stuff. His group was kinda quiet after that. (embarressed) Scared my son he was like, mom the little boy was trying to apologise, very sad.
We didn't see any cops....

Shallow spots coming down really aren't an issue. If you are concerned at all just stay in the middle of the lake. Some times the wind kicks up and can make coming back up from Katherines thru the basin quite a journey. At times it can blow out the lake. Just be aware and find a cove if it does come up.
You can go up almost to the dam. It is a very pretty trip and I would suggest checking it out. There is an area you can get gas quite a ways up so as long as you gas up before leaving you will be fine.
Have fun....it is nothing like Havasu and you can actually enjoy a nice cruise.

Watch the wind, Cottonwood cove area (the basin) can get quite blown out....But it is a huge lake, lots of room, you can totally see the shallow spots (they are lighter) and there is lots of room to go around. We stayed at Cottonwood Cove Motel and went down to Katherines Landing for lunch, I don't think I would stay there, it was very busy. The day before we went from Cottonwood up to Willow Beach. The ranger there said we couldn't go any farther because the fish were makeing out (XOXO)
Lake Mohave is huge and it might be nice and calm at Willow Beach and have a two force gale blowing at Cottonwood.
How big is your boat?

I'll be out there Monday the 12th thru Friday the 16th. Staying at the Belle. May head down to Havasu a day or two to check out the Hot Boat performance evaluations. Not sure if I'll stay for Saturday to check out the Poker Run.

I found out recently that my neighbors brother owns Lazy Harrys. Never been there before so I am going to go in at some point and have a drink. When are you going to be at LH's?

If you ride a Harley, you'll fit right in! My place is 3 lots up from the inlet, and 15 away from LH's. Give me a call on my cell when you're in the area. I'll be on the water in the afternoon (got work to do in the morning), and launching at LH's so I'm close.

As a matter of fact I do ride a Harley. Won't have it this weekend though. I will try to catch up with you out there when we go by LH's....

We will be at Cottonwood this weekend. We leave Friday and return Monday. We typically navigate from CC and north, so I doubt we will see any of you down around Catherines.
