I sent a Thomas TSW2 cup steering wheel. (top of the line pc gaming wheel $650.00 new) to MD from VA = short distance. Via usps ground and this is what showed up. Now they are talking of denying my claim stating poor packing. I packed that package well! It was tightly packed with foam and paper. A-holes never again.http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0299-thumb.jpg http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0300-thumb.jpg http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0303-thumb.jpg http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0305-thumb.jpg http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0309-thumb.jpg http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0310-thumb.jpg http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1286000_0311-thumb.jpg

Yep, they are really bad. Even worse is FedEx. My girlfriend makes a living off EBay, and shipping is her #1 way of getting her products to her clients. FedEx destroys about 1 in every 10 shipments. I mean, she has shipped little end tables in big boxes with "Fragile" written all over them and they show up to her customers looking like someone sledge hammered them.
I have no idea how it happens. I used to work loading and unloading frieght trucks when I was a kid, and we were rough on things, but never that rough.

same thing happened to my work, we shipped a couple servers back to the manufacture and when they got it they where all ****ed up. UPS tryed to say poor packing but they where in the same boxes with the same packing that was used to ship the cases from china to here...

UPS makes profit when they deny damage/lost claims. I've shipped with them a lot and always get insurance and it still doesn't matter. The process they make you go through is so time consuming and such a headache that most people go away without bothering to jump through hoops to file and monitor their claim.
UPS = U Pray Shipping (pray it gets there unbroken)

What's the point? That just means they take one extra step before they throw it in the truck!
BTW: UPS is pronounced OOPS!

I know a guy that worked for UPS after crashing the delivery truck two times in his first week they moved him to the loading dock. He was loading a shipment that was going to Marcy’s department store, The boxes were marked Fragile Glass/Fine China all over them and were being shipped from Mikasa. Well he was just tossing these boxes into the truck from several feet away. When the supervisor walked up and confronted him and asked him what he was doing. “He said it’s no problem they are just volleyballs!”
The supervisor informed him that they were not volleyballs and in fact they were filled with china plates and glasses (Hmmmm I thought those volley balls made a funny noise when the hit the ground).
Apparently he caused several thousand dollars in damage. Not the sharpest tool in the shed!
