Rent, Borrow or buy a Radar gun?

I know several on this board use radar guns.
Anyone know where I could rent, borrow one or buy one cheap?
I'll return it calibrated and in good shape, and own you a big favor.

I would use GPS instead....I have used both and the gun is kind of a pain in the ass. The person holding it has to have it pointed in the right direction or you will get a false reading. If the boat is bouncing around at all it is a little hard to hold straight and steady. Just my.02

I need it for a neighborhood meeting with my local City Council.
People in the tracts above me speed through my tract and we've had several serious accidents.
It's a 30 ft wide, 25 MPH zone street, and the local MC cops usually have been writing people at 65+ MPH.
We're trying to get speed bumps, or a traffic calmer installed some place on the street. Or get the street re closed to through traffic.

Talk to a baseball person, they're always using speedguns to clock potential Nolan Ryans...if someone on your block is into little league, they'll be able to hook you up.

All you have to do is go to the Simi PD analytical department and get a copy of the monthly citation reports. That shouldnt be hard, but then again it is SIMI. Your case sounds slam dunk.
