BjaMike came out with my son and we had a good time. Small crowds due to the wind but we ventured out. It was all whitecaps on Saturday and we cut thru them with no problem whatsoever. It was my first time taking out the Shockwave Tremor in this type of conditions and I tell you I was very, very impressed. At no point did I feel uncomfortable and we were watching all those little boats take a pounding and run into coves. Sure is nice to ride with confidence in your boat. Sunday it was also rough so we just hung out on the boat in the slip for a while, hit the bar at Katherines to watch some of the Lakers (glad they got an ass-whupping) game and then headed out. The wind had calmed down but still caps...we again flew right thru and went into Gasoline Ally. While there we bumped the stereo as the other boats in the cove jammed with our music. The stereo is pumping hard :).
This AM we took off about 7:30A and went up to Cottonwood for breakfast. BajaMikes first time up there and it was glass all the way up and back. We had to clean the boat and tuck it away as I had to get my son back tonight. Today was pretty much a perfect day to be on the water. Supposed to top out about 90 with about 1 5-10 MPH breeze.
Anyhow, thanks for helping out Mike. He is going to post pics of the boat....he took many of the stereo, interior and exterior as I have been promising them for a while now.
Oh ya....won about $1600 or so playing BJ....A fine Easter weekend even with the wind :)
Here's the boat at Cottonwood.....this picture doesn't do the colors justice.....

Did they serve you before lunch? LOL! I like that place, but the service can be slow... We finally told the lady to package ours to-go, and we ate it in a cove out on the lake...

Ok, here's some pictures. Tom's new Shockwave Tremor is just unbelievable.....we went out Saturday and Sunday in 20 to 30 mph winds and 2 to 3 foot wind chop and it was no problem...it's a 25 foot boat that feels like a 30 footer! I want one.

Boat looks great! I like the speaker setup too. That's pretty cool how the highs are integrated into the mids..... Your boat came out great!

After riding on the SW I have to admit....The only thing I can see myself riding in would be just a bigger SW :) I would be more than happy to take you guys out on the boat. As a matter of fact check your PM later tonight. I will have some info for you concerning the River Run....

Thanks....the idea to recess the tweeters by cutting into the grills was my son's idea. Sometimes I don't give him enough credit but this time it is due for sure.

The boat looks really sweet in the water. That's good to hear about how it handled the whitecaps. I'm looking forward to running mine in water like that.

At LHC finding water like that is very rare unless you get out first thing in the AM. I have to find that thread that we had started about getting others together to make the trip from Katherines all the way up to the Hoover dam. I will see if I can find it. If so it would be nice to have as many SW's there as possible. If you have never been all the way up Mohave you will really enjoy the trip.

Definitly see you in July. I will be heading to Naci to meet up with my brother and a friend at some point this summer. When I do I will give you a heads up. My friend bought my Commander and my brother has a Southwind jet.

The water temp wasn't bad in Gasoline alley, I swam around for a little while and took some pictures.....It's not as cold as the ocean right now!
Some people wanted some pictures of the white caps Saturday and Sunday, and I don't have any, but here is a photo of the launch ramp at Katherine's Landing on Saturday....you can see the water is kind of rough, even in the Marina.
http://www.mikesnetworking.net/sitebuilder/images/Katherine-wind-710x531.jpg
At times there were 20 to 30 mile per hour cross winds at the ramp. Tom and I spent a good part of the day just sitting in his boat in the slip, drinking beer and watching the "show" on the ramp.
 :D
