Ok, dude. You've posted twice about women & speed. Hmmm. What size boat do you have? Maybe you need to get a bigger boat with more power so it'll seem like you're going slow but in reality you'll be going faster. Make sense?

Two simple solutions:
(A) Learn to drive it yourself and demand to do so, or
(B) Withhold the nookie. That should do it. :p

Do what my wife did after one hairy ride...demand to buy a bigger boat, then the speed is comfortable.

The first question I asked when we were shopping for boats was.....How fast does it go?
Going fast is the BEST part of the river.
I really trust my driver, he is really good.
How long has your husband been driving?
Have you driven yet?
(that is fun)
:D

This might sound a little strange, but you might try showing your wife a little respect & go full bore when by yourselfe or with friends that enjoy it.
Just an idea

just my 2 cents..
I do not like to go over 70 or so. if the hubby wants to go faster he just drops me on shore with a cooler and he does it by himself or with his buddy's..;)

See
I just wonder what 100 would be like? I would like to try it once.
I know our boat wouldn't do it, I drove it at 60 and my eyes were tearing up so bad I had to slow down.
(note to self, get new glasses)
We are breaking ours in, so we need to vary the speed right now, plus we carry kids, coolers, etc...
We will only go as fast as it is safe...
:D

My Mrs. doesn`t want to go over 30 mph. I respect that but she really needs to lighten up.

I am with the Minority on this one. If she doesn't feel safe with you driving because you drive like a jack ass listen to her or let her drive. We need some one responsible behind the wheel. I don't want to be T-boned by a 77 Sleekcraft, thanks. And if you are driving like an idiot and causing unnecessary wakes over the back of my boat or playing jetovator games, You will have more to wory about when you get to the sand bar than a nagging wife.
No one besides me has gone full throttle in my boat. I only have my life line and I want to be the only one hurt if something goes wrong. If you do what she says and drive responsibly maybe her comfort level will get better and she will let you open it up. Just a thought.

Christ guys, lighten up a bit.
As for my wife, she was the first one to ever put the hammer all the way down on our jet. Unfortunately I was behind the boat on a tube and she decided it may be a good time to race a jetski.
With her, she loves to go fast, just doesn't like the hard pounding (of the boat):D When the lake gets rough.
