Isn't Warlock25 on this board a detailer in LHC? They also have thier own detailing products to boot...
That's what I recall anyway.

Just curious but have you thought about taking on the task yourself? Buy some good products and do it. With a boat the size of yours I would imagine it taking you about 8-10 hours to do if you had a friend helping you out.
I did a full detail on my boat 2 weeks ago. By myself I managed to wash and wax the hull, clean the glass to a sparkley shine; clean condition and seal the seats and did it all in about 4 hours. My boat is only 19' though. The thing is shinier then new. Before doing the detail I had never waxed anything but my neighbor details high end cars for a living and showed me what to do. It was so easy I dont think I will ever pay someone to wax my car for me again. The local dealer here was going to charge me $75 an hour for a detail and quoted me 5 hours.

Shampoo carpet, vacuum, wax dash, condition upolstery. Drink beer.
Next day, Wash boat, buff out gelcoat, rub out scratches, wax .
Remove rear platform put on fresh coat on teak oil for teak surfing.

What do you do to get the scratches out? I spent a couple hours trying to buff out scratches and it didnt work. I hear you can wet sand and the gel coat blends in with the scratches but afraid to sand the gel coat off.
Last year someone stole my fenders and i got a shit load of scratches as a result.

Use 1500 or 2000 grit wet and dry sand paper. It's for color
sanding. Get paper wet with bucket of water. You can even sand
out real deep scratches. Then buff lightly, you got be carefull you
can burn the gel coat. " That can be ugly". If your worried about
how it will look try it on a spot you can't see first. I sanded out
some real gnarly scratches on the side, and you can't even tell
they were there.

Awesome!
I will try it this weekend. I will have take some before and after pictures. If it works well I am going to be incredibly happy I was actually considering taking it in to a gel coat expert and getting the colors re gelled.

On my boat the stripes and colors are all in the gelcoat. You can sand right over them and buff it out like new.
Once my brother was putting gas in my boat and dropped the
gas nozzle on the back of my boat. It put a ugly chip in the
gelcoat right on the back. I sanded and buffed it out. To my
amazement it came completely out, gone, invisable.
Needless to say, no one puts gas in my boat but me anymore.

I am NOT an A$$hole! I, sir, am a JackA$$.
HS & Boozer:
I am not lazy when it comes to detailing the boat normally. The deal is, we are in Canada for July. On our way back this year we head straight for the Dana Boats Regatta. I think we can be in Havasu on 06-Aug. After 2100 miles she is going to need a cleaning.
Everyone:
Thank you for the information!:)

Michelle, I am thinking about getting the 4 pack dealio you guys offer on the website. How many washes do you think I would be able to get out of that bottle of the wash n wax stuff? My boat is only a 19'r.
$55 for that kit seems like a sweet deal considering how well the stuff works.

Hi Boozer,
The wash & Wax is a super consentrate, you mix 2-6 oz with 5 gals of water(Depending on how soiled your ride is) so you can get 4 to 8 (5) gal buckets out of it. I would say 8 to 10 washes.
OCShocker,
I'd love to help you find a home here in Havasu, PM me with what you are looking for ie: size, garage lenght, price, beds & baths etc. and give me your e-mail address and I can send you a link to the mls of listing that meet your criteria. Then just let me know when you will be in town and I'll set some up for you to see.
Talk to you soon,
Michele
