I have been in the situation before. Untie his boat and shove 'er out to sea. Lucky for my husband (his wife's kinda a hot head), the guy that did it to us showed up just as we were pulling up. We rent a slip by the month and when we pay a couple of grand a year for a slip, that stuff really gets me hot. I don't like squatters. But honestly, that's what we've always said we would do. What else are you supposed to do? You need to park your boat!

When that happened to me at the blue water I walked over to the little snack bar by the ramp an told them about it and they sent someone down to move it.
Plan "B" was going to be along Roz's lines.

Someone rented you the slip, make it thier problem, that's what they're paid for afterall. Those people usually take that kinda stuff personally.

Get a cable, and lock the boat to the dock, and then charge thee SOB rent for his time in your slip. Something along the lines of $20 for 5 minutes:D :p

Yeah, someone untied me and pushed my boat out one time. Made for a real screwed day. We had only used the slip because my son slipped while walking across the bow of my boat and broke his arm on the rocks we were anchored near. Having never seen a double compound fracture before, I was a little freaked out and didn't think to look for the courtesy docks.

Someone parked in the my grandparent's slip one time, I called the harbor patrol and they came and removed the boat, nice and legal like. Should've seen the dudes face when he came back.

I tied his boat to one side of the slip and moved mine next to his,
2 boats in one slip.No one that worked there was around for me to complain to when this happen. When he came back he started to complain and said iam not suppose to have done that and his boat is $$$ so I listen to his bitching and waited to see what he wanted to do.Ive seen this boat at Parker quiet offen.

At the Marina I'm at in the Sacramento river if someone is in our slip we just tell the harbormaster, he moves the offending boat and puts the the biggest chain and padlock on it you have ever seen. The offender doesent get his boat unlocked till he pays the harbormaster big bucks. Seen more than one boat get put up for leansale. I pay $6660 a year (and thats not even for a coverd slip) to the Marina to park my two boats there. The Harbormaster works for us........besides it puts more money in his pocket!
