flat 4 &flat 5

I am trying to get Up4River to drive this weekend but we have a little problem. His light hook ups are for a flat 4, my trailer is a flat 5. If we flip the connectors when we are backing up to release the breaks that would work right? As long as we switched them back.

Should plug in fine with one spot left over.

No problem. You'll have one open conector and when you need to back just turn on lights and put back up connector into lights plug.

If all else fails. They have converter boxes.

What OG said. My trailer has a flat 5. My truck has a 7pin to flat 4 converter. The flat 5 plugs right into the flat 4. The left over spot is not used and just hangs off the end.

I have a 7pin with a flat 5 adaptor.. you can get them at the RV store

Mine came with my truck. I don't need the 5th pin. No reverse lights or electric brakes. Thanks for the info though.
