Thanks to Mike in Havasu (Magic Boomerang) we picked up a pristine 2000 Cobalt 246 with a 454MPI with 86 hours. Very cool couple in Havasu had it since new. These Cobalts are hand-laid like a custom but have all the conveniences of a production boat. The boat is like a Benz on water and should serve us well for many years. I am pretty stoked about the boat. Its got a ton of room and seems very well constructed. I am a little sad to give up the Ultra but I think we are going to be just fine with this and best of all I can relax a little more without the Ultra payment

Looks good to me. I'd have fun in a Zodiac as long as it got me on the water.

A friend of mine had a 24 or 25 cobalt many years ago... We beat that thing up pretty good on Greer's Ferry Lake in Arkansas... Pretty sure his parents still have it. It was a good solid runner. Congrats!
Have a pic of the rear seat layout?

Any boat's better than no boat (trust me, I know). And a Cobalt is better still. Congratulations!

Used to go to Greers Ferry when I was younger. Beautiful lake. Remember trout fishing on the Little Red River which flows out of the lake. Crystal clear and cold as hell!

That's a first class boat. Tons of room. Even a place to stow your ego now that you don't need it for boating :D :rollside: :D

That is a great looking boat John. I did the same thing after I sold the Nordic, went out and bought a 2000 Crownline. Not as fancy as the Nordic but it works great for us, 95% of the time we have a tow rope out pulling the kids on some type of water toy. Just did not make sense to own a 70K boat when we only got it wet 5 to 6 times a year, especially to my wife when I would not buy her a 60K Range Rover she would drive everyday. :argue:

Hell yea that's cold water on the little Red River... Even when stoned it's cold!
Heber Springs is a great big town, ain't it :D That's why I had to come back to So-Cal... They didn't like the skater/surfer/bmx kid with the baggy panty and punked up hair  The girlies did though :rollside:

Nice boat John!!!! When Are you coming out to Havi??
Thanks for all the props everyone.
SB, we usually only do one or two Havi trips a year. We'll keep an eye out for that beautiful Lavey when we come out. Then we can have a few silvers and call an official truce to the flames that were thrown over the Howard thread way back when :argue:

We also have the sun deck and bow filler cushions so the rear can be a full bench if you want.
