So I happened upon the live feed from the 9-11 inquisition...err...commission this morning. Today's activities consisted of beating up on the FDNY, Port Authority Police and OEM(Office of Emergency Management) for a lack of communication. Well, since I grew up in a firefighting fraternity this made me angry immediately. John Lehman, a commission member, went through a long winded diatribe about the break down of the communications system, and then he went too far. He said the breakdown of the communications system was "scandalous", and that the management of this emergency response was was more like the actions of the "Boy Scouts" than the greatest city on Earth. Can you believe this piece of chit? Well, I'm about to bust an artery and I guess so was Thomas Van Essen, former FDNY commissioner. He said:
"I keep hearing talk about scandals, and how this is scandalous and that's scandalous. Well, let me tell you something. There was nothing scandalous about the way our Fire and Police Departments handled the 9-11 response. They responded with heroism and bravery. To say this is scandalous is disgusting, in my opinion."
HELL YEAH! I almost gave the guy a standing ovation inside my house! It's about time somebody put these arrogant sons of bitches in their place. John Lehman would crap his pants if he even had to look at a burning building, much less run into one to save lives!!! I think everyone who is a fireman or knows a fireman should call the 9-11 commission and tell them what you think of Mr. Lehman's comments. The number is 202-331-4060 and the email is info@9-11commission.gov

I hate those ****s that would run scared shitless if they were put in that position, and then have the balls to criticize the people that put their lives in danger (and even lost them) to save others. I'd like to punch that cocksucker right in the eye!

HOLY S$%T!! If you thought that was bad, now I hear that Lehman was openly speculating whether the communications breakdown was responsible for "raising the death toll" on 9-11... WHAT?????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????
ARE YOU FU*&NG KIDDING ME???????????????????????????
WHAT RAISED THE DEATH TOLL WAS A BUNCH OF RADICAL ISLAMISTS FLYING AN AIRLINER INTO THE BUILDING YOU ASSHOLE! NOW YOU'RE GOING TO ACCUSE THE FDNY OF BEING COMPLICIT IN THE DEATHS OF NEW YORKERS DURING 9-11? 2,752 PEOPLE DIED IN THOSE BUILDINGS, 343 OF WHICH WERE FIREFIGHTERS. BUT 25,000 OR MORE LIVES WERE SAVED BECAUSE THOSE GUYS GAVE THEIR LIVES.
This crap has to stop. We can't stand by and let a grandstanding politician denegrate the memory of our fallen heroes.

Those bureaucratic pieces of chit, have no idea what those emergency workers went through, they sit behind their desks and monday morning quarter back everything. They shouldn't criticize unless they have been on an emergency scene and actually know how chaotic it can be ( let alone the 9-11 terrorist attacks ).

I couldnt agree more with you High Roller. How the "commission" can sit high and mighty and call this or that scandalous because some alledged break down in the information train is appalling. They expend all their worthless hot air bringing down people that made a difference in the worst day in our country's history.
I hope every single one of them pays a personal or professional price for their part in this.

As far as I can tell politicians have no talents other than:
1. Kissing up to powerful influential people with money who want a hired gun/voice in the government
2. Forgetting who their constituents are (who voted them in) and why they wanted to be in government originally
3. Lying
4. Cheating
5. Running for re-election as soon as they get in office
These effers sit in their cushy chairs behind some big old wooden desks/tables, with young interns slobbering all over them, offering up their useless, brainless, opinions that are not based on any hint of reality whatsoever.
Small business owners should be about the only people allowed to hold political office. The way I see it they actually:
1. Know a lot
2. Know how to make do with very few resources
3. Know a lot about what the REAL problems are in this country
4. Are motivated to get something done
5. Have real skills
Sometimes I wonder if the plane that was brought down in the field in Pennsylvania due to the heroes on board should have been escorted to the Capitol Building an allowed to crash into it. Replacing the "leaders" we have wouldn't be any problem at all.

There was a great book writen by a fire captain, can't remember his name, but it is a good look at what happened. It really explains the community of the firefighters and police. I will look it up.....
Very sad, but very good..
I think the best quote is.......When others where running away from danger, they ran toward it....
We can never forget that...
