You misunderstood...already HAVE a 2000 540i and would consider trading it in for the right deal. :)

Subject: BMW has everything
On a golf tour in Ireland, Tiger Woods drives his BMW into a petrol station in a remote part of the Irish countryside. The pump attendant, who obviously knows nothing about golf and completely unaware of Tiger's identity, greets him in a typical Irish manner. "Top of the mornin' to ya, sir," says the attendant.
Tiger, who is familiar with Irish custom, responds with, "And the rest of the day to you, sir!" He gives a quick nod and bends forward to pick up the nozzle of the gasoline hose. As he does so, two golf tees fall out of his shirt pocket onto the ground.
"What are those?" asks the attendant.
"They're called tees," replies Tiger.
"And what on the good earth are they fer?" inquires the Irishman.
"They're for resting my balls on when I'm driving," says Tiger.
"Feckin Jaysus," says the Irishman, "BMW tinks of everything!"

Thanks for all the replys. It was for a buddy in the office. I forwarded all the info you guys gave me. Someday I will get a new one, but the old one still looks and runs great so their is no need. I talked him out of the Mercedes for the 6 Series, he had not seen one yet. Showed him the pic on the site and now he has to have one.:D
On another note, when are the BMW diesel engines going to be available in the USA?

Doesn't Volvo and Saab do euro delivery and pay for hotel and airline tickets?

the oil burner is not that fast, i was interested, so i went to the BMW international site and looked at the models in the 5 series.
the current line up looks like this:
http://www.bmw.com/generic/com/en/products/automobiles/showroom/5series/sedan/index.html
the best oil burner is the 530 d- it is no slouch, but it is not a 4.8 0-60 car like the M5, i think the differences would be even more evident once you got on the road and HP took over torque (think autobahn).
i think that the 7 series get a bigger one diesel, but i'm not sure on that. i wish they would bring them here too, MB just started to bring them backa nd i would image that BMW will see how MB does then decide to compete in the US with a diesel.

I can speak for Saab as well: they give you $2k travel assistance, Airport transport to hotel, 1 night at a nice hotel(Ronnum Manor House), dinner and breakfast for two, transport to delivery center, Saab museum tour and a factory tour if available.
Rather inclusive compared to the BMW Euro Del. package---which is basically nada.

i would love to see the M6 convertable be built (i wouln't see why BMW would miss out on taking sales from the CLK55 vert)
