496 runs a 22 and won't push a 24 very well. When you pick your boat up at Campbell, ask them for a 26 demo prop. They let you try whatever you want. You might even consider getting that 24 cleaned up. How many RPMs were you hitting Sunday?

Nope, I used to think that too. (That's a whole nother story) Anyway, I put a 24 on and can barely push it with no increase in speed and a 500 rpm drop. So what kinda RPM were ya runnin?

The question is did you hit your rev limiter with the 24?
For the summer I push a 24 and in the winter a 26. With the warmer temps now I have the 24 on, pluss its better out of the hole and a full load.
If your hitting you rev limiter you need more prop, if not, it'll be a little tougher to push.

I have a 26P on my boat with a HP525. I hit the rev limiter at WOT. I would like to try a 27P or 28P. How much am I going to suffer on getting it on plane?

Over on the outdrive section of board, HP350SC has a variety of props for sale think they were in the 24 range up to 27 or 28, don't think any were labbed but prices are good. Should check them out.

Hey Kachina, I run a 24P labbed prop with my 496Ho mag and I hit the rev limiter with it. This prop may be perfect for you if your lookin to squeeze out a few more mph. I wonder why you can't run a 24P prop?? When I get my replacement prop, you're welcome to try it out.
