Some POS spyware has hijacked my start page. I put it back and reset it, but it keeps going back. How do I make that stop?
Thanks. RB

Go to www.download.com and search for Ad-aware 6.0 build 181 and download the software.
It's free and running it will search out and find the spyware crap that's causing your problem.
I just did this earlier today for my home computer at the suggestion of one of my company computer guru's and it's worked great, so far.
Good luck.

here it is, save it, scan for hosts, after it is done reset defaults, then save changes. you cant reset defaults until it has done and finished a scan. let me know. i tried everything till i found this

I've found HijackThis to work the best for me. It's been able to clean up stuff thay Adaware couldn't. BUT...you have to have some knowledge of what is spyware and what is actually stuff that you need before you let it fix anything, as it will show all of certain registry entries, good or bad. What I usually suggest is to run it, save the log and let someone who is knowledgeable with this stuff look at it and let you know what you can get rid of. If you still have problems after running Ad adware, download it, run it and either cut and paste the log entries here or PM them to me and I can give you some help.
Here is the URL to download from:

Sounds more like a hijacker trojan than spyware.
Search for and download Hi-Jack This, run it and post the logfile it creates on this forum:

Someone who understands this shit will be able to figure it out and tell you the RIGHT way to fix it without screwing it up more. They guys there are great.
