I saw this poor bastard on the 57 North this morning. REAL bad way to start off the weekend. The driver is laying behind the CHP car strapped to a board. Hope he's ok, he was moving his arms when I drove by.

Damn....thats alot of trailer for that SUV, especially if you have to hit the brakes hard. Be safe everyone & have a great Holiday weekend. We are leaving in a couple of hours for Havasu, don't want to see anymore of that.:(

Is the yellow bag a body cover? If so, very tragic.

Thats what I was thinking..why the yellow tarp, we all know what thats supposed to mean. Hope all involved are ok.
I will be in no rush to get to Havasu later...my defensive driving mode will be in full effect  :D

They were probably using the yellow tarp to cover the area they were pulling him out of the car so the lookie loo's don't cause more accidents. It doesn't look like anyone is under that tarp.

From the yellow tarp it does look real bad:mad:
I would have to agree, pulling a trailer that size with a mini-suv seems like not a good mood.
Lets hopw we are wrong and everyone is ok.

That looks like about a 25' trailer with a large slideout and probably weighs at least 6000 pds, and that does not include equipment......WAY TOO MUCH WEIGHT FOR THAT TRUCK!!
like a few peeps have said be careful and DO NOT over load your trucks, and check your brake controllers the weight of your trailer will cause you to jack knife and snap your trailer around you so quick you WILL not be able to correct it...
i'm sure thats what happened here!
hope he is ok...

How the hell did he do that? Look at the skid marks, they're practically 90 degrees from the traffic lane!:eek!:

If they was a passenger in the front, It looks serious for them.
The traffic is already all screwed up. Drive safe people.
I hope they are ok.....

Looks a little small to be covering a body. Maybe, but who knows? We use those blankets for lots of things, not just covering bodies. For example, covering the patient while still in the car as we cut the car up to get em out. Keeps glass and debris off the patient. Hopefully that's the case here.
Bummer either way, hope all are well. :(

Awful way to spend any day. I'd guess too much speed and a panic attempt at stopping or avoiding a stopped vehicle in front. At least it doesn't look like there's anything but iceplant under the yellow tarp.
That's a brand new Dodge Durango SUV been rolled at least once. And the trailer has some upper area damage but doesn't look like it rolled?

Yeah, maybe he sideswiped something with the trailer? Looks like they build those new durangos pretty stout, luckily.

Did he come off of the freeway and ended up on the onramp?
Hard to imagine he had enough speed at the start of the onramp to roll? Might explain why the skid marks are ~90 degrees.

looks like a case of the tail wagging the dog.....
that trailer looks too big for that durango.

If that truck was pulling that trailer, why didn't the chains hold them together? i didn't see where Mo said that was the tow vehicle...
