planning some puddle trips, I've been to Perris but never to Elsinore. How do they compare?:)

Well If your boat makes any noise then they wont allow you on the lake. NIce beaches witha cool island. Long steep slippery launch ramps. And must be there real early to make it on the lake.
That was perris:
Now Elsinore,
Green water, Have a speed zone, Sound not much of an issue. Cool party cove.
With family in a fishing boat Perris,
With family in a sport boat Elsinore.

does anyone know where i can go to look at which lake has a higher bacteria level?? i know they bothmight have some issues, but which one is cleaner??

Perris is a sezpool---too many bathers with diapers lounging in Perris...You know they got trouble with Bacteria if they are dropping in oxygenators to attempt to clean it. Far side of lake probably better.
.
Elsinore is ugly green but not bateria loaded...just algae growth causing the green tint---never felt inviting to jump in that green water at all to me. And seeing a seafoam green wake behind ya is weird.

Isn't Silverwood open now? Or is that just for fishing boats?

Might camp out at hallett beach for the regatta dealio, its going off from there anyway.
I think we don't have to pay anything till we get to the beach sat morning, and its like $60 for the poker run part the rest is just good people meeting/partying

You got nailed on extinguishers too? You need to talk to the guy that sold you the boat. Mine came fully USCG equipped, and the rule is 2 if you are over 24'. I have 2 and an automatic system;)

Go to Elsinore Ill be there next weekend. Lakes pretty cool. Launch ramp is better than Havasu and Parker.Somewhere to float the boat without spending 250.00 a day!!!

Kool we will be there Sunday maybe we'll see ya !:D
what time do we have to be there to get on the water?
do we need reservations? are there boat closures?

rvrkaosI
06-09-2004, 09:33 PM
reservations for elsinore not required; I was shut out at Perris last month, went to elsinore with no problem. 15 bones to get in, dirt parking lot, but nice launch in general.
watch out for the poles in the water, they are marked, but caution going out....
the green water is weird, just don't drink the water...

Silverwood is very nice with large launch and parking lot. They also separate the fishing area from the boating area. There are a few nice beaches as well. Campground is nice should you want to stay overnight.

I haven't been there in probably 10 years, but remember it being really nice. The water was a little brisk however being that it is melted snow and all. My only bitch was there was only one small launch ramp which made for a long wait. Have they fixed this?
Other than that, clean water, nice little coves/fingers to tie off in and decent beaches.

Launch is at least 3 boats wide if not 4 or more. Launch also has the anti slip groves in it.

Hey Dicudmore, did you happen to see who got the #1 CSI in the western region for the last 12 months? I'll give ya 3 guesses:D That's why you leave the boat out there, no rock chips yet.

dicudmore
06-11-2004, 01:18 PM
well since I don't happen to know, and its definitely not here....
I'm gonna have to say one of those 3 mechanic type stores IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE that services 2 cars a week, with the YUPPY techs :D
or if thats not it, I'm guessing Redlands
HATFIELD BUICK GMC

Kachina26
06-11-2004, 02:53 PM
Ding Ding, and remember if you only get 2 responses on the CSI card and one of them sucks you can kiss your CSI goodbye. Any guesses on the top tech in that store? OK, now that I've gloated a bit I'll probably torch someones new Denali while doing something stupid:eek:
