So I topped my tank off in the F250 drove the kids to school did a few things and came back home. I drove 28 miles.
I got back in the truck to go pick the kids up and I noticed that I was below 3/4 of a tank.
Some SHIT BAG stole my gas, 5 gallons to be almost exact.
What the hell is this world coming too....

If you didn't live thru the "gas crisis" of the 70s, here's a financial tip...... Buy stock in companies that make LOCKING GAS CAPS!

Answer> Fuel tank gas cap locks.
This is also what would happen back in the mid 70's when the big gas crunch hit.

If gas gets to $3 a gallon I would not be surprised to see whole tanker trucks getting stolen.

Thiefs suck!
We were at the river a month or two back and were staying in Golden Shores and left our boat parked in front of the gate instead of inside and someone stole the gas out of it during the night. Had a full tank when we parked it and almost on "E" when we were heading out the next morning.
LOSERS!!!!!!!

I wish they would have just taken my gas!
When I got ripped off they took the entier turck! Good for me that it did get well under 10mpg. It was found a week later in east LA sitting on the side of the road WITH AN EMPTY TANK OF GAS!
I was pretty happy just to get it back in tact for the most part.
Broken wing window and steering collum but all six tires and alcoa's were still there. Fockers still cost me around a grand after impound, towing and fixing what they broke.
Now loosing 5 gal don't sound that bad hu?

I was wondering when I would hear of someone stealing a gas truck. Two were stolen up here, was all over radio and they had the FBI on it ( probably in case of terrorist threat). NOT a good idea:D

Back in the 70s they had a popular device that was a great preventer of siphoning. It was a SS spring that inserted into the gas fill neck (old style). Almost impossible to get out and impossible to get a siphon tube in. Would probably work on boat fill tubes.

Just before our last trip out, Run What Ya Brung to be exact, i went to get the boat at the "Secure" camera's everywhere storage place, hooked up and went on our merry way, now i know i had at least one full tank and one was about half full/empty you pick. We get to the gas station and while im fueling up the truck my daughter opens up the gas caps on the boat and asks how much fuel did we have when we got home from the last trip cause both tanks are bone dry!!!! Sure enough nothing in both tanks, now i'll give a little to evaporation, but not a whole tank , so i filled 'em up and when we got back to the storage place i asked nicely how this could happen, i am told that they had recently fired the guy whowas doing the nightly security because he was tampering w peoples stuff and siphoning gas from others.
Fuming i asked them what would they do for me since i just spent over a hundred bucks to get my boat filled.
I expected the shoulder shrug and oh well there's nothing we can do for ya bit, but was told they'd take care of it, i got a check from them for 125.00 bucks and a big sorry note, and no rental fees for the rest of the year, a class act in a world of classless folks. Sometimes your the bug and sometimes you're the windshield.
