My kids school district decided to combine traditional and year around together! There solution, make there summer vacation 2 weeks shorter and give a 2 week vacation in March, October and December!
How lame!

How's it goin Greg? I work for LMSV. Many factors went into the decision to go to that schedule. Mainly the fact that 4 of the 22 schools were on the year round schedule and they wanted a common calendar for the entire district. At first I wasn't thrilled about losing 2 weeks off my summers, but an October midweek river trip was GREAT. Also, a lot of the parents voted to approve this calendar as many kids are bored by the end of the summer and parents can't wait for the school year to start. Also, from what I hear GUHSD may be changing their calendar to something similar to ours. Will you guys be out for Father's Day?
