its not in phx but rb performance in parker has a nice 100 or140 amp marine alternator for 135 bucks(100 amp model).I bought one last week and it dida good job for my boat.I also changed the stock 10 gage charging wire to a 4 gage to handle the extra amps

I also recommend RB performance very good prices and I have had no problems with anything he has sent me (very reliable)

It's a dumpy shop off of Cave Creek around Dunlap but he does great work and is familiar with marine requirements.

What did you get, 100 or 140 amp? When my 100 goes I think I'm going to have him rebuild it as a 140.

forgot to mention when you install you might need to run a ground strap to from the alt to the engine(or good ground)I had to do that on mine no big deal(mine wasnt grounded good enough from the stock mounts i called ron and he quickly answered my ?s.mine was the 100 amp 1 wire alternator. And you have to hit the gas or get the rpms up before 1 wire alternators self excite. But after my first trip i was happy with the quick recharging esp with the 4 gage wire to the batt.Less than 1/2 hour to do so

125 amp, same one he builds for the Teague / Pfaff guys. It's all chrome, SIIIICCCCCKKKKK. !
Ron also had some great stories to tell when I was at his shop, wipe outs @ 140 mph and stuff like that crazy stuff.....
I gotta go to bed I'll post pics tomorrow.

Well see now we have a prob, you know you can't "rack" a smart crap, errrr craft motor because it puts it in limp mode if it goes over 2500 rpm in neutral, is that what you mean? or does it just have to go over like 1500 rpm????

Yeah I got it but I didnt put it in yet cuz I need to talk with a guy at Bad Attitudes in Parker, he already did one on a 496 HO so I need to findout what lil trick he had to do with the bracket to make it fit....
