What does everyone think of the Hypertech programmers?? Has anyone had expierence with them on an 04 5.3 chevy? Oh yeah one more question... I've got an 04 Silverado crew cab and I was just wondering where the hell are you guys putting your subs?? There is very little room under the back seats and I don't think the doors are big enough either. Thanks GJ :D

Gottajet,
I have used the Hypertech on a 99 5.3 and on my 03 6.0L and had very good results. It allowed me adjust for tire size changes, firmed up shifts, and gave a noticable power increase.
As for Subs thats a good one. My 03 is a crew cab and I squeezed a Fosgate 12" behind the seat in a custom box, I actually had to use the back of the cab as the back of the box but I am having rattling issues after a year so I'm about ready to tear it out and start again. I think one or two 10" 's is the way to go.Here are a couple options.

Hope this helps. I'm sure Roz or Riverbound have some ideas too.
Good luck and let me know what you do.
Chris

When I had my Avalanche, i had the hypertech. I was really happy with it; I also had a K&N Intake and a new exhaust system. The combination of all three made a really big difference.
As far as a box for the seats, depending on the subs - you should be able to squeeze 10's behind the rear seat. Froggystyle was able to fit a couple of 12's behind his - it did take some work though.

I have an 04 Suburban with the 5.3. Will the Hypertech improve the gas mileage as well? I have the K&N intake system. Thanks.

i have a 00 silverado 3 door and i have 2 10's and an amp under the rear seats they fit pretty good with no problems in custom built boxes you might want to try some of the free air style subs or look for ones for small inclosures less then 1 cu. ft. also crutchfield has special boxes for these trucks that fit under the seat
