Do you think that they will notice if it is automotive paint instead of gelcoat? We gelcoated the bottom but the painter couldn't lay out the graphics in gel coat so he is airbrushing the top in auto paint. I sure hope the boat is done so I can take it!

I have a true flat as well. How far up is your v drive though? probably farther up than mine, plus mine is a ski flat, so it should be a bit heavier, you have a bigger motor, so you are faster, I am slower...therefore I win the race of the slows.

Bob, it's on the river right at the Avi. There were some v drives last year. Even 2 cruisers. But..... it's not very deep at all until the water comes up in the afternoon. Even then, well I'll let you make that call.

uhhh, my boat doesnt look good now. Thanks to my dad polishing it with rubbing compound :mad: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he was trying to fix some cracks and used some spray paint that was a different color and then blended it nicely but took some of the paint down pretty low. Its ok, nobody can notice unless you are looking for it. :) We cant all be beautiful, or fast.

My dad said if you need help with your boat, just let him know...he is off. He can swing down to your house and help knock it out.
You should just T it off two lines off the fuel tank into one that goes into the fuel pump. Less that goes wrong. :)

Cutting Edge CNC is working Fast n Furious on Bubbles to try and get the jack plate dealio done.. Still have to put the motor back together and get it painted along with the boat etc.. And a seat made for it.

Wife keeps reminding me the date is creeping up. The Daytona will be ready enough but not all the way done. I think I will hang a sign that says under construction;) I'll be good to go, I think Jeff(Bigamist) is going to have to help me put the finishes on it. Never been to the Avi so the Luvnlifes checked it out this past weekend since we were in Laughlin. Looks like it will work:D Really can't wait to drive this boat again, its been almost 6 years since I sold it. The wife is ready for some passes too:D

I will just chop everything down with my prop! :D it is an older prop, personally if it gets jacked, I wouldnt mind, as long as it didnt bend the shaft or hurt anything else, it would be a good excuse to get a nice new prop. :)

I just noticed that ***boat magazine has no hand in this. You would think they would atleast support it or do a write up on it. There is going to be 100+ boats and well over 200+ people at this event. It seems worth it to me, considering it is a bunch of HB members attending. :)
